2025 Review Bin Inspection and Contamination Policy

All Council policies need to be reviewed within 12 months of the Local Government Election.

Proposed changes

The Policy remains unchanged apart from an updated reference to the Local Government Act 1993 under the Legislative Obligations section.

Background

The policy guides the routine bin inspection program which focuses on improving knowledge and understanding of waste management. It seeks to improve waste education programs and messaging, improve resident waste contamination awareness, reduce waste contamination rates and costs to ratepayers.
