Consultation has concluded
All Council policies need to be reviewed within 12 months of the Local Government Election.
Proposed changes
- Clause 3.3 - social media accounts can only be established or deleted with the written approval of the General Manager (or delegate) and endorsement of the Council.
- Minor amendments to update position titles (CEO to GM) throughout the policy and change an incorrect reference from social media platforms to social media accounts
Background
This policy is based on the NSW Office of Local Government Model Social Media Policy. This policy applies to all Council officials, members of Council’s committees, including s.355 committees, contractors and delegates.
