Amendment to Googong Development Control Plan 2010

Consultation has concluded
Council has prepared an amendment to the Googong Development Control Plan (GDCP) 2010. The GDCP 2010 was authorised in December 2010 and has over time had a number of changes to incorporate new structure plans for the various neighbourhoods at Googong. The current amendment incorporates Neighbourhood Structure Plans for the next stages comprising Neighbourhoods 3 to 5.
In addition a number of other changes were required to be made to the GDCP 2010.
In summary the changes to the draft document are as follows:
Deletion of certain engineering design standards from Part 5 of the GDCP 2010 as these are now contained separately within the QDCP design specifications.
Addition of a requirement to provide connection to Googong reticulated alternate water supply system for small lots, studio dwellings, multi dwellings, dual occupancies and residential flat buildings (Part 7 of the GDCP 2010) to ensure consistency with the current requirements for single dwellings.
A new updated set of Master Plans to replace the existing Master Plan maps as contained in Appendix 8.
A new Appendix has been added to include the Neighbourhood Structure Plans for Neighbourhoods 3 to 5 (Appendix 10).
The plan will be on public display from 17 March until 14 April 2020. It is on this website as well as at the following locations:
