Consultation has concluded
The QPRC Community Engagement and Participation Plan was adopted at the meeting on 27 November 2019.
This plans sets out requirements for public notifications of development applications.
As a result both the Queanbeyan Development Control Plan 2012 and Palerang Development Control Plan 2015 need to be reviewed. The clauses within these documents dealing with notification need to be repealed as they are now outlined in the Community Engagement and Participation Plan.
The QPRC Engagement and Participation Plan sets out the notification process in Section 2 - Part 3 (from page 14).
Both Development Control Plans are on public display from 18 Feburary-19 March 2020.
What has been amended?
Both plans have had the following inserted into the section about Public Notification of a Development Application:
Before considering a development application (this excludes complying development applications), Council will notify the proposal in accordance with the QPRC Engagement and Participation Plan adopted 27 November 2019.
