Consultation has now concluded.

Council has joined the Cities Power Partnership.

As part of this membership, we must pledge to tackle five key actions across renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport and working together.

We are seeking your input into the key actions that Council will commit to.

Please select and rank at least five key actions from the list in the survey below. All these actions are in line with Council's adopted Climate Change Action Plans.

Actions that we are currently progressing include:

  • installing solar panels and battery storage on a number of Council buildings and facilities
  • procuring a long term renewable energy purchasing power agreement to ensure some of the energy used in Council operations is generated by renewable energy
  • implementing best practice energy efficiency measures across some Council buildings and facilities
  • facilitating EV charging infrastructure within the community, including Googong Common Car Park, Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct, Bungendore off street car park, a future Braidwood off street car park
  • making space for and constructing cycle and walkways within our urban centres
