Consultation has concluded

Holcim is seeking community members for membership of the Cooma Road Quarry Consultative Committee. A need now exists to appoint new delegates or renew existing appointments.

Each Committee will comprise of:

  • An Independent Chair
  • A Council elected representative
  • Up to seven community representatives
  • Up to three proponent representatives.

The committee meets twice a year in May and November.

The purpose of the Committees is to:

  • Establish good working relationships and promote information sharing between the Quarry and surrounding community and stakeholders.
  • Allow the Quarry to keep community informed about projects and seek community views on projects and respond to matters raised by the community
  • Allow the community members and council to seek information from the Quarry and give the company feedback on the development of projects to assist in delivery of projects, reports, audits, complaints and initiatives.


The charter of the committee is based on the community Consultative Committee Guidelines prepared by the NSW Government Planning & Environment.
