Background
This policy covers all directional signage to tourist businesses, attractions, services and community facilities that are planned within road and recreation areas managed by QPRC.

- Help travellers easily find tourist activities, services, and facilities in QPRC.
- Boost business for local tourist and service operators.
- Use technical standards that make signs clear and easy to understand, while ensuring compliance with Australian safety and design regulations.
- Simplify signage in major towns by:
- Using white-on-blue signs at major intersections to show recreation areas and facilities with names and distances.
- Using white-on-brown signs at key intersections to highlight attractions with their type and distance.
