Council is seeking feedback on the 2026-27 Fees and Charges.
The fees and charges are a component of the Operational Plan and is presented to Council for earlier review and exhibition than the balance of the documents, to stagger community engagement.
Each year the fees and charges are reviewed to ensure that they accurately reflect the work undertaken by Council. This can lead to fees being removed, and new fees being introduced. Fees are reviewed to ensure they are appropriate, reflect the pricing strategy, and are benchmarked where alternatives are available. This would be with the ACT, other jurisdictions or against open market providers.
CPI increase across the organisation was determined to be 3.4% as a base budget parameter.
The fee unit increase for statutory fees for 2026/27 has not yet been announced by the NSW Government. These fees will be updated when Council is advised of the increase, in previous years this has been from May to June.
