Consultation has concluded
We have prepared an Affordable Housing Strategy for the local government area. The Strategy will help us to understand the current and projected need for affordable housing.
The draft Strategy has been written by an expert consultant engaged by Council and provides a wide range of potential actions that may be available to address concerns around affordable housing in the future.
Exhibition of the draft Strategy is intended to start the conversation with the community about affordable housing. The suggestions in the draft Strategy have not been agreed or costed yet and we look forward to hearing your feedback about which actions Council should prioritise.

It provides a number of possible strategies that Council may consider - these are found in section 2 starting on page 13.
