Consultation has concluded
We have recently prepared a new development contributions plan to collect contributions from developers for community and recreation facilities within Bungendore.
The new development contributions plan (Draft Bungendore Section 7.11 Development Contributions Plan for Community and Recreation Facilities 2022) provides an updated framework for the determination, collection and management of developer contributions for the provision of community and recreation facilities within Bungendore.
A recent review of the existing developer contribution plans for Bungendore identified several areas where plans for recreational community facilities required amendments.
Accordingly, Draft Bungendore Section 7.11 Development Contributions Plan for Community and Recreation Facilities 2022 (‘the Draft Contributions Plan’) has been prepared to ensure Council can fund the community and recreation facilities required by Bungendore’s growing population, including the Bungendore Sports Hub and Aquatic Centre, a multi-purpose community centre, local parks and playgrounds.
The Draft Contributions Plan describes:
where contributions are required
what types of development the contributions apply to
what community and recreation facilities the contributions will fund and
how the contribution rates have been determined
The Draft Contributions Plan has been prepared in accordance with Section 7.11 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The Draft Contributions Plan also requires minor amendment of the Palerang Council Section 94A Development Contributions Plan (November 2015) (‘the Palerang 94A Plan’). Specifically, it removes land in Bungendore within the R5 Large Lot Residential zone from the Palerang 94A Plan. Any development on that land in the future which requires contributions will be levied under the Draft Contributions Plan.
Submissions on both the Draft Plan and/or the amended 94A Plan can be made until 4.30pm on 29 November 2021, in the following ways:
