Consultation has concluded
The draft Bungendore Structure Plan (BSP) has been prepared to ensure that the development of Bungendore occurs in a coordinated and efficient manner and in a direction that reflects the views of the community. The draft document builds on the existing Bungendore Land Use Strategy and Structure Plan which was adopted by Council on 4 August 2010 and endorsed by the Director-General of the NSW Department of Planning on 30 November 2010.

In developing the draft BSP constraints and opportunities were considered based on spatial data. The draft BSP sets out three different growth scenarios and provides a summary of the implications of these. One issue critical to the various growth scenarios is water supply. The current water allocation only provides only for infill growth. To expand the town beyond its current boundaries, Council and state agencies would have to be satisfied that additional ground water can be made available. This means water allocation will impact on the growth scenarios of the draft Bungendore Structure Plan. Consequently the medium and high growth scenarios outlined in the draft document will depend on the NSW Government’s decision on Council’s application for an increased water allocation. Feedback from Government Agencies has been incorporated into the draft document where this was considered relevant and appropriate.
A community information session on the draft Bungendore Structure Plan will be held in the foyer of the QPRC Bungendore Office on Tuesday 13 August, 6.30-8.30pm.
Submissions and information lodged with Council during this process may be subject to public access under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2010.
