Consultation has concluded, thank you for your feedback

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has prepared a draft Local Environmental Plan (draft LEP 2020) to consolidate and harmonise the existing LEPs that apply to the former Queanbeyan and Palerang local government areas. This is being done as a consequence of local government amalgamations that occurred in 2016.

The existing LEPs of the former councils have been used to inform the development of the standards and local provisions the draft plan. The draft LEP 2020 creates a consistent approach for land use planning across the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA.

Submissions will be accepted until 4.30pm on 30 June 2020 and can be made in the following ways:

  • By commenting below
  • By email to council@qprc.nsw.gov.au (referencing ‘Queanbeyan Palerang Comprehensive Local Environmental Plan 2020’ in the subject line)
  • By mail to PO Box 90, Queanbeyan NSW 2620.

The survey below asks specific questions about the key policy changes that have been made and questions about key themes, including controls for heritage listed properties and the impact of development on the environment. None of the questions are mandatory. You are welcome to answer one question or as many as you like. If you would just like to make a general comment, you can do that in questions 16 and 17.

Submissions and information lodged with Council during this process may be subject to public access under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2010.

Land Use Planning staff are available to answer any specific questions on the draft plan between 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm on 6285 6116.
