Draft Queanbeyan Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2019

Consultation has now concluded

This plan has been prepared under Section 7.12 the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, and provides for Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (‘Council’) to collect contributions from development in Queanbeyan to fund local infrastructure.

This plan applies to new development in the urban areas of Queanbeyan, excluding South Jerrabomberra and Googong.

Section 7.12 Fixed Levy Contribution Plans levy a percentage of the development costs for development over $100,000 in value.

Under this draft Plan:

  • developments valued at $100,001 and up to $200,000 will be levied a contribution of 0.5% of the development costs; and
  • development types valued in excess of $200,000 will be levied a contribution rate of 1.0% of the development costs.

You are able to submit comments on the draft Queanbeyan Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2019 from 20 November 2019 until 18 December 2019.
