Consultation has concluded
The Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery was first established in 1993 and moved to the Queanbeyan Indoor Sports Centre in 2011. The Gallery was upgraded in 2018.
The Sporting Gallery is a symbolic way to honour the region’s elite athletes as Members or Associate Members of the gallery.
Membership, Associate Membership and other decisions regarding the gallery are determined by the QPRC Sporting Gallery Advisory Committee. They then make recommendations to Council. This policy will assist the Committee and Council in making these decisions.
The policy sets out the selection criteria for inclusion in the Gallery for both athletes and volunteers (who have made an outstanding contribution to sport in the Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA). It also outlines how someone may be removed.
Submissions may be made until close of business Friday 24 May 2024.
