The policy has been reviewed and there are no proposed changes from the existing policy.

This policy informs a wider Transport Investment Framework which will be presented to Council in coming months.

Background

It includes all formed and constructed footpaths, shared pathways and cycle paths owned and controlled by Council. This includes footpaths located within parks, recreational areas and community land.

It does not apply to footpaths located on private land, unformed walking tracks, or on-road cycle paths.
