Consultation has concluded
In 2009, the former Palerang Council engaged consultants to prepare a master plan for the Frogs Hollow area on the corner of Bungendore Rd and Molonglo Sts, Bungendore.
The concept plans (download on right) show the landscaped Frogs Hollow village green to have its own parking, covered BBQ and picnic facilities, play areas, community orchard, fitness stations, large deciduous trees, picket fencing (as a potential second off leash area), bench seats, pathways, bridges, water features, amphitheatre and viewing access to the creek. To date, the works identified in the master plan have not been undertaken.
At its December 2020 meeting, Council resolved to undertake further engagement with the community on the master plan and transforming Frogs Hollow into a Village Green for Bungendore, with the master plan to be used as a baseline.
Council is also seeking proposals to rename Frogs Hollow to represent its recreational and environmental nature as a village green.
Following this engagement period, Council will consider costed options for Frogs Hollow in the development of its 2021-22 budget.
