We are seeking community input into the future of 172 Foxlow Street, Captains Flat. The site has a depot for Council use and the former Captains Flat Health Centre, which is in poor condition.

Background

The property at 172 Foxlow Street is owned by Council. A development application approved in 2016 has since lapsed.

Any future development or subdivision would require a new DA and updated site investigations, particularly regarding asbestos and potential lead contamination.

Read more information in the Factsheet in the document library on this page.

Current use and condition

The eastern section of the site is used as a depot for Council operations. This is required for service delivery in Captains Flat and surrounding areas. The staff amenities do not meet current standards and we are planning for refurbishment and upgrades in future budgets.

The western section contains the former Health Centre building, which is in poor condition.

A Development Application would trigger a Detailed Site Investigation for lead contamination and then a recommended Remediation Action Plan.
