Consultation has concluded

We have recently completed designs for a path between the Queanbeyan River foreshore at Glenrock Drain and Thorpe Avenue, with a connection to Woodger Parade. We are seeking community feedback on these designs.

Property owners around this area have received a hand-delivered newsletter.

The design connects the river path on Council-owned land and includes a section of stairs with wheel ramps to address the challenging topography along the drain.

The design was funded through the NSW Government’s Get NSW Active Program 2022-23. We have also applied for additional funding to construct remaining sections of the Queanbeyan River Path, including this section.

The Queanbeyan River shared path is a high priority in the Queanbeyan Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Plan. The path will link the CBD through to Ellerton Drive. Recent sections of the river path were completed in 2018 to 2021 and include the bridge-to-bridge loop in the CBD and the sections near River Drive.
