This project is funded by the NSW Government under the Regional Youth Investment Program.

After listening to the community, we’re going back to the drawing board on the Jerrabomberra Pump Track. We want to find the best location for a beginner to intermediate pump track for young people in Jerrabomberra and we need your help.

We have awarded a contract to build a pump track to Common Ground. They are specialists in designing and building trails and pump tracks. We are working with Common Ground to design and construct a pump track in Jerrabomberra.

We held three workshops in mid February at the Jerrabomberra Community Centre (25-31 The Parkway, Jerrabomberra).

All three workshops were run under the same format. They provided an opportunity to explore possible locations for the site, discuss the site needs and optional extras that they would love to see included.

Now that the workshops have been completed, you are still able to provide feedback to us by pinning locations to a map and completing our survey. The survey and maps were open until 1 March.

What we heard

We held three workshops in mid-February at the Jerrabomberra Community Centre, to explore possible locations for the site, discuss the essential and desirable criteria for the site. 69 people in total attended the workshops.

Following the workshops, a digital survey and mapping tool were open here. There were 445 visitors to the page, 212 people visiting multiple pages and/or downloading a document. Of those, 39 contributors dropped a ‘pin’ using the map tool and 38 contributors completed the survey. Two submissions were also received by email.

Identifying essential and desirable criteria for the site has allowed us to compare the locations. A summary of the feedback that we received and how the proposed locations compare is now available in the document library.

The feedback we received from the community about the essential and desirable criteria and locations suggests that David Madew Oval and Jerrabomberra Park/Stockyard Reserve be explored as the potential sites for the pump track.

Come along to the Jerrabomberra Community Centre on Thursday 7 March anytime between 6-7:30pm where we will be sharing the results from the consultation. You can chat to our staff and see the initial results before they go to the Council Meeting on 13 March.
