Consultation has concluded

We have been awarded $2 million from the Australian Government under the Investing in our Communities Program for the Jerrabomberra Traffic Campaign project. Council accepted the funding agreement at the 27 March 2024 Council meeting and we have been working with the Jerrabomberra Residents Association on the project scope.

In meetings with the Jerrabomberra Residents Association and previous consultation with the community, we had initially proposed that the project includes replacing the existing roundabout at the intersection of Edwin Land Parkway, Numeralia Drive and Stringybark Drive with traffic signals, and installing pedestrian fence and pedestrian warning signs at the pedestrian crossing on Edwin Land Parkway near Jerra Circle.

The final scope of work will be subject to the results of this wider community consultation, our traffic and safety data, and cost estimates.

In this consultation, we are seeking the community's feedback on various potential treatments presented for consideration. We have done some traffic analysis to determine which areas are most in need of upgrades. This includes analysis of traffic congestion, speeding hot spots, pedestrian walking routes and locations with a history of crashes. The maps in the images tool display some of these results. There is an image that show crashes between 2018-2022, another image shows crashes where speed was a factor, and the final image gives an indication of speed data on arterial and collector roads.

The feedback from this community consultation will be used in combination with our traffic analysis and cost estimates to develop a final list of traffic upgrades in Jerrabomberra. These will be shared to the community again for their feedback.
