We are seeking the community’s feedback on the Mobile Food Vending Policy.

The policy has been reviewed and one change has been made to include operational trading hours.

Changes

  • Clause 6.9.1 has been amended to include operational trading hours of 7am-10pm on any given day

Policy aims

This Policy aims to minimise any potential adverse impacts to the community from mobile food vending vehicles trading in a public place; establish guidelines that enable safe and lawful mobile food vending in public places; and promote mobile food vending throughout the area without adversely impacting existing fixed food businesses or residential amenity.

The Mobile Food Vending Policy is open for community comment from Friday 26 September until Friday 24 October 2025. The documents may be viewed:

  1. In the Document Library at the top of this page
  2. At Council’s Customer Service Centres, between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday

Feedback can be provided on the proposed names by:

  1. Completing an Online Submission Form (below)
  2. Completing the quick poll (Yes or No)
  3. Emailing feedback directly to council@qprc.nsw.gov.au with the subject title "Corporate Sponsorship Policy review"
  4. Handwriting your submission and delivering it to Council's Customer Service Centres
  5. Posting your submission to PO Box 90, Queanbeyan NSW 2620

Only written submissions will be considered, and these must be received by Council before Friday 24 October 2025. Any submissions received may be included in the final report to Council.
