Consultation has concluded

All Council policies need to be reviewed within 12 months after the Local Government Election. We now have a further two policies up for review. Changes made to the polices as part of this review process are outlined below:

Backflow Prevention Policy - The Policy has been re-named from ‘Backflow and Cross Connection Policy’ to ‘Backflow Prevention Policy’ for clarity purposes, removed the repetition of the applicable Australian Standard throughout and clarified the scope of the policy.

Parking and Enforcement Priority Policy - Changes made to the revised Parking and Enforcement Priority Policy are as follows:

  1. The existing Parking Policy and Parking Enforcement Priority Policy have been combined into the one Policy.
  2. Simplification of the language and terms described within the policy has taken place
  3. Introduced parking on the verge within the Queanbeyan industrial areas.
  4. Improved the description around obtaining construction site parking plan approval.
  5. Included the priority listing for Ranger enforcement action.
