Council has developed a business case for a Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Sports Complex under the NSW Regional Sporting Infrastructure Fund. The masterplan of the facility has been developed in consultation with local sports clubs and is now open for comment from the wider community. It is proposed that Stage 1 of the facility will include pitches for hockey and football as well as car parking and amenities/club facilities. Proposed Stage 2 includes a basketball stadium, administration and child care buildings, further car parking, while Stage 3 includes an aquatic centre, the remaining car parking and the final public realm development.
