Consultation has concluded

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is upgrading the Queanbeyan Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) which is located on Mountain Rd, Jerrabomberra ACT. The current Queanbeyan STP treats sewage from Queanbeyan before it is discharged in the Molonglo River. The project will replace the existing STP which is approaching the end of its asset life with a modern treatment facility that will improve treatment reliability. The upgrade will provide additional capacity for growth and development in Queanbeyan and will enable QPRC to continue to meet its regulatory requirements.

Communications and engagement with key stakeholders will be essential to the progress of this project. As such, Council, in partnership with RPS, has developed a draft Stakeholder Communications and Engagement Plan to ensure appropriate information and opportunities to contribute to project outcomes are available at each stage of the project.

Council is seeking feedback from the community, recreational groups, community groups and associations and other organisations on the draft Stakeholder Communications and Engagement Plan. This Plan will be continually refined and updated as the project progresses and feedback from stakeholders will be welcomed at any time during the project.

Comments on the draft Communications and Engagement Plan are open between 12 June and 10 July 2020 and can be made:
