A draft EIS has now been lodged for this project with the ACT Government, as both the previous and proposed STP will be located in the ACT. The application number for this draft EIS is EIS201900029.
The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) details the anticipated environmental impacts, as well as proposing avoidance and mitigation measures. The EIS has been prepared to enable decision makers understand the environmental consequences of the proposed development. It is required to address matters raised in the scoping document for the proposal.
The public consultation period for the draft EIS is 35 working days, commencing on 18 January 2021 and closing on 9 March 2021. During this period, the public can view the application and provide written comments (a representation) on the proposal. All documents can made viewed online and comments submitted on the ACT Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate website.
