The Queanbeyan CBD Spatial Master Plan which was developed in 2019 sets out a vision for a contemporary city with a country heart. The Plan considers the challenges that the Queanbeyan CBD currently faces and proposes solutions over a ten year period of transformation.
We have developed a eight-stage program to transform and revitalise the Queanbeyan CBD.
The objectives of the projects are to:
improve the accessibility and appeal of the CBD for residents and visitors
make the CBD dynamic, smart, safe and connected
increase high value jobs
Position the CBD as an attractive destination to do business
Increased private investment activity in commercial, residential and public amenity
Increased residential variety in the CBD
Increase the desirability of the CBD as a place to live, visit and work and accordingly improve the viability for commerce.
