Consultation has concluded
After the consultation period finished a report has been prepared for the 26 July 2023 Council meeting. Also included with the report were comments received from the community. Both of these documents are available for download in the documents for download to the right of this page.
At South Jerrabomberra, the developers are providing land for a community dog park.
The developer will build the community facilities and landscape the park. It will be handed over to Council when complete.
Council prepared a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) which has been made avilable for community consultation before work starts.
About the dog park
The area proposed for the new dog park is on Speargrass Road and will cover an area of approximately 3 hectares. It will be close to the new residential development.
Design
The design consists of separately fenced large and small dog off-leash areas, each containing appropriate agility or play elements, water stations, seating, paths and tree planting. Outside the fence, in the wider park, there will be public toilets, BBQ and picnic facilities and extensive landscaping. A community garden is also proposed. The design includes access paths to adjoining residential areas and a short access road with car parking
