Council manages a large and diverse portfolio of transport assets. This includes roads, bridges, car parks, footpaths, cycleways and shared paths. Increasing financial constraints, competing demands, compliance obligations and community expectations require a structured and transparent approach to investment prioritisation.
The Transport Investment Policy and Transport Investment Framework have been developed to provide Council with a three step assessment and prioritisation process that ensures transport investment decisions are:
- Strategically aligned with Council priorities
- Evidence-based objective assessment and transparent
- Financially sustainable
- Focused on compliance, safety, service delivery and community outcomes
The Policy and Framework are available in the Document Library on this page.
