To resolve a longstanding drainage issue in Bungendore, a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement has been prepared to allow construction of stormwater trunk drainage which runs through the Land known as 115-117 Ellendon Street Bungendore (the Land). This land is currently being subdivided and there is a mutually beneficial opportunity to improve the stormwater drainage in the area.
To carry out the subdivision, the Developer is required to carry out works to improve stormwater drainage. To provide a stormwater drainage arrangement which will facilitate the Development and remedy the poor drainage arrangements affecting the land to the north of the Land, the Developer has offered to construct trunk stormwater drainage infrastructure works as described in their consent and Council has agreed to contribute to the cost of constructing the Stormwater Works subject to the conclusion of a satisfactory voluntary planning agreement.
In accordance with the requirements for a voluntary planning agreement, the draft agreement has been placed on public exhibition and interested parties are invited to make comments. For more information, please contact Brendan Belcher, Program Coordinator – Utilities Technical.
