I nominate Naomi Taylor
I would like to nominate Naomi Taylor for this luncheon. I first met Naomi through our Family Day Care where our children became close friends. Last year Naomi and her partner Ben discovered their son William had Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), which is a neurodegenerative disease that eventually takes away your ability to walk, talk, swallow and breathe. Naomi Has rallied tirelessly to spread awareness of the disease and even appeared at Parliament House to try to get Spinraza (which slows the progression of the disease) on the PBS in Australia. This was successful and was placed on the PBS a few months ago. Along with the many appointments that she takes William to and the late nights caring for him, Naomi also works full time in our local community. Naomi is a very strong, but gentle, caring, selfless and proactive mother that deserves to be spoilt and recognised for the amazing things she has accomplished this past year. Naomi is a true advocate for not only her son William, but for children with SMA world wide. Definitely a super woman!
Nominations have now closed.
