Consultation has now concluded

Council has engaged a consultant to undertake the final detailed design for the duplication of Old Cooma Road. Council has been communicating individually with affected landowners along the route and is seeking comment from the wider community on the draft concept design (available in the document libary on the right).

After this period of consultation, the design will be completed with a view towards awarding the construction contract in August and the new road to be open by the end of 2019.

The project will:

  • Include two lanes in both directions from Edwin Land Parkway through to Googong Road
  • Include 2.5m wide cycle path
  • Connect to signalised intersection constructed by Googong developers at Googong Road

Have your say on the concept design which can be found in the document library on the right.
