Are you passionate about living and working in our region? If so, we want to hear from you.
Our Business and Innovation team are seeking insights from the region’s locals about their personal ‘highlights’ of the Queanbeyan-Palerang region to assist in developing website and other marketing assets.
We are arranging photo shoots and video interviews over the next week or two and are looking for ideas and people willing to be part of this great initiative.

Dojo Bread n Braidwood
Dojo is small, artisan bakery in Braidwood and I always stop in there when I'm in town. They have excellent sourdough and amazing cakes and slices! I love this place and always try to support them when I'm in Braidwood. We also held a Women's Health Week stall in Braidwood with the Pharmacy in 2017 and they generously donated some slices to giveaway at our event. They are very friendly and community minded.

Bungendore Farmers Market
This market has such a great feel and is a wonderful way to purchase seasonal produce and goodies from regional farmers and small businesses. It's kid friendly and a great way to spend a Saturday morning! Even in winter when they have the fire going, it's just lovely.

Awesome local professional services
Many people think that living in a rural area means you have to make do with lower quality services. I recently had an experience that thoroughly debunked that notion, however. I needed content for my website and I found a local writer who produced the most amazing web page text and blog posts. Kelly (kmwade.com) lives right here in the QPRC area! It’s having access to such awesome services while still living the rural life that makes me love where I live. And I’d love to see more people using local professional services like this one.

River Walk and the suspension bridge
Walking along the Queanbeyan River even as far down as Barracks Flat is absolutely amazing - you are so close to town but along the river it feels like you are almost in the bush. The suspension bridge is also a lovely walk. There are birds, water, trees, blue skies, gorgeous greens - all the best that Queanbeyan has to offer right in city - shows the superb mix of country benefits with city living

London Bridge, Googong Foreshores
It’s a great natural rock formation over the river that my father and his father before him visited regularly. Took my own kids there recently, so that makes four generations who’ve been there.
