Workshop - Braidwood

QPRC is committed to taking advantage of this global revolution by developing a new Digital Economy, Smart Community Strategy.

Smart
communities leverage digital technology, partnerships, and new service
models to enhance productivity, sustainability, creativity and
liveability

  • free public wi-fi to support visitor experience, increase community inclusion, and provide a platform for smart services
  • smart
    parking where sensors and real time information allow residents to more
    easily find a car space, improving congestion, commercial activity, and
    the user experience
  • new digital platforms to enhance engagement
    with the community, providing more opportunities for citizens to help
    create their region, and increasing the breadth and depth of the
    conversation
  • smart street-lighting with new energy efficient LED
    luminaires, real time monitoring of lighting levels and outages, and
    the ability to plug in new smart services (such as environmental
    monitoring)
