Concept sketches

This option proposes a formal geometry of overlapping green squares that give the park an iconic interesting language and a modern version of the classic village ‘green square’. The interlocking squares provide a range of spaces and pathways that combine to form a large outdoor lounge room for the community and can be used for formal and informal sports, kick about and fitness. The green squares work with the grades of the site to form terraced seating retaining walls, flowering garden beds and a central lawn focal point. The square shapes also respond to the sites rectilinear setting and geometric street grids.
