Concept sketches

This option provides a space for the community to interact with nature and is proposed to be flowing and organic in style. Circulation around the park is defined by a meandering nature trail that accommodates a variety of nature play opportunities, intimate seating nodes and gathering spaces. The landscape proposes to draw inspiration from Queanbeyan’s natural Molonglo environment using native species, rocks and logs and softer mulch surfaces. The nature play areas will be designed for users of all ages and abilities and allows the community to re-connect with nature in a urbanised context.
